In a re-enactment tribute to the first 'Round the Houses' event in Australia held in Albany in 1936, the streets of Albany reverberate to the sounds of vintage and classic cars on the WA Day June long weekend each year (2-3 June 2018).
The Mt Clarence Hill Climb is held on the Saturday. On Saturday night an army of volunteers change the CBD of Albany into a circuit where up to 150 cars compete in regularity events on the Sunday.
These events are supported by the Festival which continues throughout the day, with food stalls, entertainment, bands, markets, car displays and more. This year we celebrate the 50th anniversaries of the Mk1 Escort and HK Monaro. Tickets are available at the gate. $10 adult, $5 student and seniors and children under 12 free. |
